Glass Skin in 7 Days: A Realistic Starter Routine

A 7-day starter routine for the glass-skin look: morning and evening steps, weekly masks and realistic expectations.

Introduction

"Glass skin" is the Korean term for smooth, hydrated skin that reflects light. Skin structure does not change in 7 days, but with the right hydration and gentle care you may notice your skin looking plumper and more radiant within a week. Lasting change takes a few months of regular care. If you want the basics first, read our Glass Skin Guide.

1. The three foundations of glass skin

Hydration: layer upon layer of moisture from hyaluronic acid, glycerin and essences. Smoothness: gentle cleansing, a healthy barrier and mild exfoliation once or twice a week. Radiance: ingredients such as niacinamide and Galactomyces, plus sunscreen every day.

2. Morning routine

A gentle foaming cleanser, then Galactomyces essence, a niacinamide serum, a hyaluronic acid ampoule, moisturiser and finally SPF 50 sunscreen (Beautyway UV Sun Cream or Natinda Daily Perfect).

3. Evening routine

Calming Sherbet Cleansing Balm to dissolve make-up and sunscreen, followed by Calming Cleansing Foam. Then a hydrating toner, Galactomyces essence, a serum that suits your skin (for example the PDRN Retinol Ampoule a few evenings a week) and a moisturising cream.

4. The seven-day plan

5. What to expect

By the end of a week, skin usually feels more hydrated and soft and looks more radiant. Changes in dark spots, visible pores and fine lines take 8 to 12 weeks of regular use.

Frequently asked questions

Can you really get glass skin in 7 days?

Not the filtered look you see in photos. With steady hydration and gentle care, though, you may notice your skin looking plumper and more radiant within a week.

Can oily skin get the glass-skin look?

Yes. With niacinamide, mild BHA and gel moisturisers, oily skin can look smooth and radiant too. The goal is a healthy glow, not oily shine.

Should I use a sleeping mask every night?

Two or three nights a week is enough. Every night can feel heavy on oily skin.

How often should I exfoliate?

Once or twice a week with mild acid toners. More than that weakens the barrier and dulls the glow.

Can men follow the same routine?

Yes. Skincare depends on skin type, not gender.
