Oily Skin
A Korean-style routine to balance shine and make pores look less visible.
Characteristics
Noticeable shine during the day, pores that look larger on the nose and cheeks, oiliness across the forehead, nose and chin (the T-zone) and a tendency to break out. Make-up can slide off within a few hours.
Care goals
- Balanced sebum
- Less visible pores
- A clean, matte look
- Preventing blackheads and breakouts
Suggested routine
1. Cleanser
A gel or foaming cleanser with salicylic acid or niacinamide. If you wore make-up or sunscreen, start with an oil cleanser in the evening.
2. Toner
A toner with 1 to 2% salicylic acid (BHA) or niacinamide. If BHA is new to you, start with a few evenings a week.
3. Serum
A serum with around 5% niacinamide, morning and evening.
4. Moisturiser
A light gel or gel-cream, such as the Watermelon Moisture Gel Cream or Pine Needle Cica Cream.
5. Sunscreen
A light SPF that does not feel greasy. Beautyway UV Sun Cream 70 g suits this step.

⚠️ Watch out
Heavy, pore-clogging oils (coconut oil, cocoa butter). Toners high in alcohol give a brief matte look but can dry and irritate skin. Skipping moisturiser is also a mistake; dehydrated skin can look even shinier.
