🎯
Acne-Prone Skin
A simple routine that keeps breakouts in check without drying skin out.
Characteristics
Frequent blackheads, whiteheads and inflamed spots, plus red or brown marks left behind. Usually seen on oily or combination skin.
Care goals
- Fewer active breakouts
- Fading marks
- Repairing a dried-out barrier
- Calming redness
Suggested routine
1. Cleanser
A salicylic acid or gentle gel cleanser. If you wore make-up, start with an oil cleanser in the evening.
2. Toner
A 1 to 2% salicylic acid toner; start with three evenings a week.
3. Spot care
A spot product with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid on active breakouts.
4. Serum
5% niacinamide. It helps with oiliness and post-acne marks.
5. Moisturiser
A light gel cream. Actives dry skin out, so do not skip this step.
6. Sunscreen
A light, non-pore-clogging SPF every day to stop marks from darkening.
