Cushion #21 or #23?
K-LAB · 07 Ağu 2026
This is the question we hear most when people buy a cushion. The gap between the two numbers looks small, but the wrong shade makes the face look masked. A few simple tests are enough to find yours.
What do the numbers mean?
In Korean cosmetics, 21 usually means light beige and 23 natural beige. In Natinda Aura Perfect Cover Cushion, #21 Vanilla is for light skin and #23 Beige for natural, wheat-toned skin. The same number can look slightly different from brand to brand, so trust a swatch more than the number.
Get a sense of your undertone
If the veins on your wrist look blue you may lean cool; if they look green, warm. If silver jewellery suits you better you are probably on the cool side, gold means warm. These tests are not exact but they give you an idea: light, cool-toned skin usually looks more natural in #21, wheat and warm-toned skin in #23.
The jawline test
Swatch on your jawline, not the back of your hand. The right shade leaves no line between face and neck. Decide in daylight by a window; shop lighting and phone screens can show the shade differently.
Wait a few minutes
Some foundation and cushion formulas darken slightly in the first minutes as they mix with skin oil. Do not add a second layer the moment it looks too light; wait 10 to 15 minutes, then decide. If you are stuck between two shades, oily skin is usually safer with the deeper one and dry skin with the lighter one.
Pick your concealer the same way
Natinda Perfect Concealer Stick also comes in #21 Light Beige and #23 Natural Beige. Under the eyes, choose the same shade as your cushion or half a step lighter; a concealer that is too light can make the under-eye look grey.
